Fernanda Preto nasceu em 1978, formou-se em fotografia pela Escola Panamericana de Artes em 2000 e Artes Visuais pela Universidade Tuiuti do Paraná em 2005. Foi selecionada para o Projeto Mezanino de Fotografia do Itaú Cultural em 2004 e a Mostra EROTICA – os sentidos na arte em 2005 no Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil, pelo curador Tadeu Chiarelli. Seus trabalhos são acervo da galeria Diana Lowenstein Fine Art em Miami participando de diversas exposições através da galeria: MACO Art Fair, México, Chicago Contemporary & Classic Art Fair, Art Basel Miami, Arte Américas e Galeria Oeste em São Paulo. Fotógrafa de expedições e viagens, já cobriu Elf Authentique Aventure no Nordeste brasileiro e Ecomotion Pro, Projeto Kali Gandaki no Nepal, Projeto Acalanto e outros na Amazônia Brasileira, onde viveu por 3 anos. Atualmente vive e trabalha em São Paulo desenvolvendo projetos pessoais e editoriais.

She received her associated degree in photography and graphic design from Panamericana School of Arts in São Paulo in the year 2000, and graduated from Tuiuti University of Paraná in 2005 with a bachelor degree in Visual Arts. She was selected by Itáu Cultural Art Institution for the Mezanino Project of Emerging Photographers in 2004. In the year 2005-2006 she participated in the exhibition Erotica – the senses in art, together with Duane Michal, Nan Goldin, Rodin, Picasso, at the Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro curated by Tadeu Chiarelli as a new artist. She had her solo exhibition in Diana Lowenstein Fine Art Gallery in Miami, FL, called “The Lesser Sight Exhaled” in 2006. Fernanda works as a photojournalist in Brazil and she has lived in Amazon for 3 years and have worked on environment and social reportages . Now she is currently living in São Paulo.
